Tone Shield™ is our specific combination of shielding layers and OFC copper ratings, and it's what makes these cables quiet where it counts.
Specs shown are for Professional Series microphone cable. Instrument cable uses a 92% spiral OFC shield with a conductive polyethylene sub-shield to fight handling noise.
Gold is a noble metal — it doesn't readily react with chemicals in most environments, so the connectors retain conductivity over time.
